I think i must have been doing the CHAT comps for over 20 years and never won a thing, unlucky or fixed? I am a serial comper but wins are now few and far between, something has certainly changed in the comping world :-(

I think they are fixed, myself.

I think since the finance bust 2008 then with Covid, there are one heck of a lot more compers than ever before trying to find something to do. As a previously lucky and repetitive winner, these lean years are making me wonder if it's worth it any more. The number of comps has definitely decreased, as it does through hard times, so the number of compers is increased more per comp IMO.

I think you're right, Chaz. COVID was responsible for many things. Bored  people became enamoured of ITV's mega cash competitions - then looked to see which magazines also ran cash competitions.I also consider the prizes to be nowere near as good as they used  to be. Now, you get such things as ttickets to trade shows, sessions of personal development , tools for interior decorating etc. And I've not had a good win for absolutely ages either. I did win an apple corer from Jazz Apples recently, but didn't think it was worth crowing about!!

This is board etiquette to avoid people submitting duplicate entries by mistake.This is also because some people are subscribed to particular threads and get an email when a new reply is posted.

Replies to competition posts are generally for important things like changes to end dates, competitions having ended early, addition / correction of answers given, addition of terms and conditions.

If you want to thank the poster for finding the competition, please use the Comp-liment function and they will see that you have thanked them.
