Getting the best debt solution company

Hello,
Having read some of the threads online, I have not come across advice on the right company to go with to reduce my debt issues.
My credit score is really low, but although I am less than 6k in debt, I am constantly being bombarded with text messages, calls from random mobile numbers and emails from credit companies due to cancelling direct debits and standing orders because of real life issues. And now I find myself burying my head in the sand.
Please advise.
Diane

You might be better in the main DFW forum rather than here?
The basics with any debt situation is that you:
Open a new basic bank account (no credit check) with a bank to which you owe nothing (do check banking groups).
Transfer over all income
Transfer any DDs and SOs you need to pay, like rent, CT, travel, utilities, media.
Cancel all the other DDs with the old bank. Consistency is key, pay essential debts, ignore non-essential.
An Statement of Affairs (SOA) would be very helpful to help you work out what you can afford, can't afford etc, and you'll need one for any debt charity you speak to.
Speak to Stepchange, Payplan, national debt line or CAB. You don't have to go with any of them, but avoid companies that charge you fees to do things that you can get free from one of them.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0
