But do you pay tax on that pension?MouldyOldDough said:Silvertabby said:
Then that's why you didn't receive a P60 - there was no need for it. ie, no tax and no NI.MouldyOldDough said:Silvertabby said:Do you pay tax from this pension?

No it isn't. They are wholly separate organisations - Capita provides pension administration services where PIC has 'bought out' the liabilities of former occupational pension schemes.MouldyOldDough said:Silvertabby said:

The terms of the buy out of your particular pension scheme will have been agreed between the trustees of that scheme and PIC, and PIC will have given the relevant instructions to Capital on how the administration is to be run.
You say that 'surely everyone who earns any income should receive P60's ?' but as others have already pointed out, there is no requirement to issue a P60 where you haven't paid tax on your pension income during the year.Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!0 -

You mentioned that you had another pension that paid £40pa and you received a P60 for it. You were then asked if you paid any tax on that £40pa pension. If you do then that is why you receive a P60 for it.MouldyOldDough said:Yjem16 said:

With regards to the other pension where you haven’t received a P60. It’s because you haven’t paid any tax on it.0 -
To be fair it could simply be because the deadline hasn't passed yet and the pension payer will provide the P60 later this month.jem16 said:

I’m afraid your replies are rather confusing as you said way back at he beginning that you hadn’t paid tax on the pension you want the P60 from.MouldyOldDough said:

Basically if no tax has been paid then there is no requirement for a P60. If tax has been paid on a particular income (not just in total over all incomes) then a P60 is meant to be sent by end of May and we’re not there yet.0
