Moratorium Underwriting for private medical best option of not?

We are 54 and 53 with some underlying conditions (Blood Pressure, Diabetes, Some recent routine checks for prostate cancer due to age/family history (nothing found), had benign polyps removed in colonoscopy about 8 years ago and now have 5 years colonoscopy check ups most recent 3 years ago)....

What I want private medical for is cancer treatments where NHS don't offer latest chemo drugs and/or if a NHS treatment is say over "x" weeks wait.

Should I go down the moratorium route knowing that none of the above would be covered or go full under writing and try to recall all the tests/treatments from last 5 years?

I would want any cancer found in a future colonoscopy to be treated privately but I presume that is now not possible at all even though the benign polyps were years ago and when I was in the USA? I had a routine NHS colonoscopy 2.5 or so years ago with nothing found and will have another routine one in years time.
