    Well done cathybird :)

I'm calling it early for me today, so 1/15 for me today please. There....done.

Yesterday wasnt an AFD, but i only had 2 glasses of wine , less than I normally would have. I think im having a lightbulb moment :D

I was in our local morries yesterday. Recently refurbished. Now has at least DOUBLE the amount of aisles selling booze. All conveniently placed next to aisles of snacks. Less food aisles. Scary.
  • Declaring early 2/29 for me please 😁

Great work @cathybird  and @oceandreamer I so could have written your post.   I've lost whole days this year because I have felt so ill after drinking when I said I would only have one glass.  No matter how many times I've said no more, it just happens again.    hang in there because this thread does help.

1/20 and declaring early for Sunday night at 2/20
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

Dodged a bullet earlier, was offered a glass of wine but I resisted. I've only been on this thread a week, but long may it continue, it's really helping me.
Oceandreamer....I've been there too. Might be the what the heck mentality, who knows. But as Watty says, hang in there  x

I think you'll find that as you have AF days, your tolerance will diminish. This will mean you drink less on drinking days. Although I choose to still drink at weekends and holidays, I can't remember when I last had a hangover. There's half a bottle in the fridge from last night. That would have been unheard of before I joined the thread. 😁

Congratulations on reaching your annual target so early @cathybird

@oceandreamer - I am in the same boat - I need to stop overdoing it on the days I do drink - yesterday was a prime example and I am suffering for it today ☹️ - not got a hangover but I had a very late and restless night so feeling very lethargic and tired 🥱. I still can’t quite shake off the mentality of ‘as it is going to be a drinking day I may as well make the most of it’.
