22/25 please. Funny thing is I feel like a glass of wine and know that wouldn't be the case if I had not had wine recently...If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Had a rough time lately and the alcohol crept back in daily. No excuses! Just not been able to get back into it since surgery to my knee. But am back now and have a grand total of 5AF days to clock up for this month please @cathybird Can I please go target free for the month.
On the plus side, when I have fallen off the straight and narrow before, it has often taken a year to get back into it, so I can live with a couple of bad months!

Thanks for the mention @Season_of_Mist but I feel a bit of a fraud as everyone else is doing so much better than me ☺️. I don’t think I could ever match your totals - but then I was always about cutting down rather than giving up, which is what this thread and all you lovely people have helped me do 😀Season_of_Mist said:Check out sukeyboo quietly reaching 120% of target with still four days of August left to go…

24/25 for me today please. What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?4

16/20 today please, Cathybird, and I’d like to keep my target of 20 AF days for September - thank you.4

Not a fraud at all, I mean your target is your target and if you are regularly getting to or exceeding that, then that’s brilliant. You can only set your own targets and decide what works for you.sukeyboo said:

Knowing that I am going AF for the month just means that I can avoid having to fight the same battles over and over in my head, I can almost just forget about it then, and get on with the month knowing that I’m not going to be drinking anything. If I allowed myself, say,15 drinking days a month I know I would have to do all sorts of exhausting mental gymnastics to accommodate that.6 -
Morning all, 28 and a cool bass player please! Now a gainfully employed bassist again - WooHoo!5

I can see where you are coming from @Season_of_Mist - we all have our different ways of managing our AF days - I am pleased with my totals as, before I joined, I was probably only having 1 or possibly 2 days per week where I wasn’t drinking - now it is normally 4 days per week.Declaring early for today on 13/10 please cathybird - thanks for looking after us as always and for adding me to the September list 😀.4
