Great post @Season_of_Mist and well done. You made me think.
I managed another AF evening. I had a hard day at work and promised myself a glass of wine in the evening sun, but, it got late so I took fizzy water in a wine glass to the table outside instead. in the @Season_of_Mist reframe I had a lovely evening as the sun went down watching the birds and loving the fields. I am so glad it was AF meaning I am at 16/20Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

It sounds like a lovely evening without alcohol. I often wonder whether alcohol detracts or enhances an experience. We are conditioned to think it will enhance, but sometimes I wonder...well done on your 16 days AF especially considering the challenges you have had lately.
19/25 for me please cathybirdIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Well done Redofromstart that's an impressive total. I'm so impressed with everyone who can manage a long stretch without alcohol. I'm trying really hard to get to the end of June but am away this weekend and thoughts were already turning to having a drink. However... I read the post (sorry can't remember who said it) about whether alcohol enhances an experience or not. Thinking about it I'm not sure it does for me (I don't know how I can actually say that, reading the rest of my own post!) Maybe at the beginning of the evening but I always without fail drink too much and often can only hazily remember the end of the evening. Then the following morning is ruined too. So I shall pack some AF IPA's (these are my go to substitute atm) and see how I go on.
Anyhow 19/24 today please Cathybird.2 -
Still on 16/20
And as a result I don't feel so good this morning. Off to shower and hopefully perk up.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

17/10 please for Thursday. @Watty1 reading your earlier post I thought I wish I could just have that single glass of wine on a summer evening but I know if I do I am most likely to carry on drinking that night. Maybe I’ll be able to do that one day. So far this month I have managed with just 2 planned evenings with alcohol (and at least one more to come next week) so I am going to try and continue with drinking a lot less next month too 🤞🤞🤞. Very good for money saving too!
