Hi!

No idea if this is the correct category but I really need some help.

My parents had a full charging order placed on thier property in around 2003. This was related to a rental lease on my dad’s failed business at the time for £20k. As the debt was owed by all partners (there were 3) one did pay them £20k shortly after the charge was applied to my parents home.

They offered  small amount each month but they rejected it in court and the judge applied the charge instead. However, the business they owe that money to is now showing as dormant on companies house.

Is there any way to get this legally removed?
Would we need to take them back to court?

My parents never really treated this with the seriousness it deserved, they are mortgage free and have some assets. I’m just concerned should anything happen to them, this could be very difficult to settle after they’ve passed away (hopefully a long long time away).

any help on the type of solicitor we would need etc would be really helpful!
