  • Oh, the lament of the Chancellor's budget, a tale of woe and missed opportunities.

In the shadow of Westminster, where dreams once soared high,
A budget was crafted, but oh, hear the sigh.
For education, the lifeblood of our youth,
Was left wanting, neglected, a bitter truth.

Economic growth, once a beacon so bright,
Now flickers and falters, lost in the night.
Promises of prosperity, now but a jest,
As the burden of taxes weighs heavy on the chest.

Farming, the backbone of our land,
Now struggles to survive, a fate unplanned.
Fields once fertile, now barren and dry,
As the budget cuts deep, we ask why.

The wealth of the people, once a hopeful song,
Now dwindles and fades, where did we go wrong?
Workers' wages stagnant, lending rates high,
The Pound's decline, a sorrowful cry.

The stock market tumbles, fortunes erased,
In the halls of power, decisions were made,
But the cost to the populace, a heavy price paid.

Oh, Chancellor, hear the cries of the land,
For a future that's slipping through our hands.
May wisdom and foresight guide your next plan,
For the sake of the nation, and every woman and man.
