Hi all

I would like to replicate the coffees from starbucks, just regular coffees so is it possible to get a coffee machine that does 2 expresso shots into a regular sized cup?

I know nothing about coffee.

Any suggestions on amazon would be really helpful. Thanks all

I have a Nespresso original capsule compatible pod machine (an Opal one) that will do 3 sizes of coffee out of a pod - I have it set to 50ml (small) 100ml (medium) and 150ml (large) - but the sizes are customisable.

I mostly use the small or medium size and only drink black coffee

Do you just want to create espressos/black coffee that you'd add milk to, Or are you looking for something that will do cappuccino's, latte's etc.?

My opal one was cheapest from one of the coffee shop pod producers (kiss the hippo) and it came with some pods.

Any espresso maker will generally have two dispenser cups, one for singe and one for double espresso, can't speak for the capsule type machines but I expect they are also a double espresso.

The Nepresso machines allow you to set the amount of water by holding down the fill button and letting go when it gets to the amount you want.
However, I don't think they'll be capable of doing the fully leaded thimbleful you'd get from a proper italian deli.

I have a basic Dolce Gusto machine - it does a whole range of pod-based coffees, from espresso to larger black coffees and a range of milk-based coffee and chocolate drinks.

    Thanks all.

I just want to make things like lattes and capachinos and to select either one or two expresso shots?

Also to just put in the whole bean coffee, and add the milk into the machine or even after, doesn't matter really.

Any links to any on amazon that would do this would be great.

I've had a fair few coffee machines in my time, and I've come to realise convenience is king. The less stages in the coffee making process, the better. When I've had a very manual machine with grinding, tamping, cleaning, etc I found myself drinking less coffee.

I'd recommend either a Nespresso machine (original or vertuo, they can both make double espresso's very easily) or a bean to cup machine (one I'm interested in is the Sage Barista Touch Impress).

In any case, I'd recommend a machine that includes a steam wand (or standalone milk frother) as ones with detachable milk compartments that go in the fridge have been one of my biggest regrets in the past.

Depends on budget to be honest, coffee machines can wildly vary, think £20 to £20k!

In the long run bean to cup is the way to go it works out cheaper and the coffee is wonderful our Delonghi has been worth its weight in gold.

All I want is 2 or 3 expresso shots coffee? Is there any cheaper way of doing this maybe by buying some instant coffee satchets? Without any milk etc. And then I can just add my own dairy free milk?

In terms of starbucks, could I just buy a black coffee with two shots and then add my own lactose free milk at home and turn it into a lattee? Or would it need be a different type of black coffee?
