New employer hasn't registered me with HMRC but are making monthly reductions

Hi, I've been with my new company a few months now they bought the previous company out of administration (tupe). One of my colleagues left and is chasing their P45 on checking with the Tax office the company has not registered any of us with them. It shows that my employment ended with my previous company. What should we do? Thanks in advance.

what sort of timescales are we talking about?
When did the employment change?
When were you first paid?
It can take a week or two to get sorted.0 -

Have you got your company's PAYE number? It'll be on the payslips. And your employee number.
Contact HMRC, using the online chat system works well. Though type in Advisor.
It's possible your hmrc have a duplicate tax record. If so they'll be able to merge the records together.0 -

Hi thanks for all your comments and sorry for delay I've not been in front of my computer. We've been employed by the new company for 9 months and have have a employer paye reference number but no employee ID and have been received monthly pay slips with Tax and NI deducted. The company say they're waiting for an activation code from HMRC..0

Do you have an online HMRC account? If so, you can login there and see/confirm that nothing has been sent.
You could always phone HMRC and give them the employer paye ref and see what they have to say too.1 -
