I'm sure that some of these 'do not reheat' instructions are companies 'covering themselves' in case people do not reheat properly - IYSWIM.

If you re-heat things until they are piping hot all the way through, they should be fine. We've been eating 'bubble and squeak/fry-up' for years with no problems at all - just make certain that EVERYTHING is thoroughly heated all the way through and enjoy!
    good points Ollie :)

now I come to think of it, I usually make a huge steak pie in a turkey roasting tin for New Year, & sometimes we're (happily) living off it re-heated every day for about a week ... don't know whether to :j or :o or

Perhaps the foodstuffs that come with "do not reheat" instuctions have been frozen and reheated already. For vegetables, I'd reheat them anyway.

    Hi all..

I made the bubble and squeak today and it was yummy, tasted just as good as yesterday, so it's fine :)

Yes, the 'no reheat' instruction would have been to cover themselves in case of food poisoning. I work in catering and the regulations are you can cook once, cool and reheat once, as the spuds and parsnips would have already been cooked then frozen, you are basically reheating them anyway, although this rule mainly applies to meat and high risk products such as rice, eggs, etc.

You should be OK if they were piping hot on reheat!
