@mandy47, I love the effect of those beautiful drawer knobs on a white background!
And what is this thing - an empty freezer drawer? I thought they were an urban legend! I have one half empty, and for me that's good going.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

@mandy47 super job on the furniture. I am in the process of doing the same to some of my lounge furniture. It’s great to give stuff a new look and a new life, so much better for the environment. I too wonder at the strange phenomenon of an empty freezer drawer. Doesn’t happen in this house 😃10

A small amount of MMMing going on here for me.
Make do - with food from stock so no takeaways this weekend. Including no spends on shopping. Does repurposing from parents home i.e 2 cleaning type bottles that I am going to use for homemade cleaning products?
Mend - fixed a button back on DH's pants.
Minimised - DH accidently knocked of a china cup on display on top of the sliding door cover. There were 5 that came from parents house and were just too cute to discard. 2 were from my grandmas which I remember fondly. Ay well fortunately it was 1 of them so no drama. More left the share section of the wardrobe fitting being more of his than mine. His decision too, so into the CS bag I'll be dropping off today at a collection box at parents residence.
Have a good week Peeps

Morning all,
hope we have all had some benefit of the lovely spring weather and that the extra daylight is bringing joy to you.
I have done some bits but can't remember properly what they were. I will ramble for now and they will pop up randomly.
I have noticed that a bedside drawer is now half full/empty and that felt very odd as it was normally stuffed. This is an old Ikea set and they are 2 deep drawers. (Proper drawers my mother would say) It briefly made me want to go find something to fill it back upI can't remember what I took from it properly but aware a couple of items landed with like with like. So that's a minimise win. I have lost an emerald earring over the past few days not quite the minimise in mind
2 items sold on t'bay so packing and items gone and a little recycled pennies. Using up paper carrier bags for CS items as there is a collection box for a charity which has been placed at my parents building. It's right at the front door as you enter. I have a small one to drop off today. Balls of 100% wool given to DS's GF she loves to crochet.
Make do - this was where I moved an item from the loft to repurpose in the kitchen and the old item discharged of it's duty to leave the house.
Still working on emptying the chest freezer. There has been some milk - that ended up too old gone. Many packets of pitta bread and as I am trying to cut down on carbs they just had to go along with a loaf of bread. The upright freezer is providing food for now as I am aiming to empty them both for a reshuffle round.
For my mend a bit of a cheat by putting treatment onto a leather hand bag is a mend - right?

I would call that a mend too @2Scratters. Maintenance is a stitch in time in a way. I hope your emerald earring turns up 🤞3

A few bits and pieces here:
Make do: there were gaps in the supermarket shelves yesterday (pulses and tomato puree) so I used cheap baked beans instead of chickpeas in my tikka recipe, and left the sauce in - and DH said he thinks he prefers it this way! I also opened some dried chillies brought home from holiday instead of buying a pack of fresh. And it saved me some cash too.
Mend: another pair of socks? No, two of the already mended ones, darned again. I like these too much to throw them out so I keep wearing through them. Also - and I'm quite proud of this - my kitchen scales gradually dropped their tiny magnetic 'feet' and I successfully rescued them all and glued them back. Saves me buying new scales, but I'm still wondering why the little rubber feet are magnetised. I successfully stored the scales on the side of the fridge in case that's why they are magnetic, but of course they can't be used in that position. Most work surfaces aren't magnetic, so I'm bewildered. However, the scales are balanced again so that saves them and saves me spending on more.
Minimise: quite a few weeds from the garden, and some sundries from the freezer. Today we will both be having yummy leftovers.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
