Just finished our Sunday chicken. My husband bought a big chicken. I normally get a little chicken. Anyways roast dinner for six on Sunday. Lunch for three on Monday, chicken and mushroom pie for two on Tuesday, chilli for three with wraps on Wednesday and chilli on toast for two tonight. Didn’t spot much chicken tonight but I like vegetable chilli. I made a 500 ml tub of stock so that is still in the freezer. 16 meals from one chicken from the butcher.10

@Green_hopeful - That's one generous chicken! It does lend itself to a variety of meals though so always good value.
Minimise: Yesterday I sorted through my fabric stash and have bagged up a lot - and I mean A Lot - for the CS. I've kept some that I know I'll definitely use but had to be realistic about releasing the bulk of it. I'd rather someone else get the benefit than having it sitting in my spare bedroom.Be kind to others and to yourself too.7 -
Well done @YorksLass I have a small stash and got rid of a bit last year. It made me realise the stash of fabric makes me happy in looking through it.8

I enjoy looking through my yarn stash although I am trying to use it up.5

Minimise: We love Freecycle. We have met some amazing people through gifting items. One of the people we met volunteers for a local charity which provides furniture and houseware to people who have been homeless and are getting a new house. We had two spare TVs, a dvd player and a TV stand unit thing. We messaged and the lady came to collect within a couple of hours. Much better than taking them to the tip.7

@annieb64 Thanks for the prompt about yarn stash. I have some sat downstairs only 3 large balls of a soft chunky wool suitable for baby blanket. It is too thick for me to crochet with so will have to pop up into the loft and find some knitting needles and do a simple knit pattern. I could pass it on but want to use it up, strange mentality I know. I also have a sizeable quantity of mohair that I really need to attack and transform. That will prevent me of spending money I don't need to and save a small fortune in the process, mohair use is making a come back. (In this house it will be)
I'm making myself accountable here as I need to kick my backside into action.

Minimise: decided to lose my house keys today (Yes, a very blue Monday!)
Have almost taken the car apart, tried phoning places I went (that's not easy these days- mainly call centre numbers) & revisiting a couple of shops. No sign of them: luckily they are not identified with my address
Managed to waste loads of time & energy over this!!Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

Sorry to hear about your keys @Katiehound. It’s so disconcerting even when the have no identification on them. I do hope they come to light. I lost some keys some time ago. I’m always on the lookout for them, but still no success. My DM used to say stop looking and it/they will find you. That hasn’t worked either. Good luck🍀6

Luckily I have a couple of spares and I am going to put one of those in the car tomorrow! I might even get yet another one cut......Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

I lost the pop up plug for a bath I was selling. It was on my desk so I wouldn’t lose it but my cat kept chewing on it. When I came to list the bath I needed to find the plug. I had put it in a safe place. I googled looking for things and found a sort of mind emptying technique. I got up walked to the sitting room opened the sideboard drawer and there it was. I had absolutely no memory of putting it there. @Duchess2 I hope your keys come to light soon.7
