Make do - found a roll of sausage meat in freezer so that was sausage patties for dinner and very tasty they were too.
Mend - mended the chips on my nails by repainting them 🤣🤣 otherwise nought to mend today
Minimise - yes, another box. DH put all recycling out this morning and there was an awful lot of it.Am hoping to inventory food supplies in kitchen on Tuesday to see what we have and find some space. Anyone else noticed that when the freezer is really full you can remove stuff for dinner but never actually make any space? My aim is to have my very slim freezer part of my fridge freezer (it’s a double door American style, fridge one side freezer on t’other. Has shelves instead of baskets) as empty as possible by the time growing season is here so I can freeze surplus veggies from the yard. Also want to get two home made Shepherds pies, fish pies, steak pie, lasagne, spag Bol, savoury mince, beef stew type meals in there. I like to batch cook and freeze for future use. So I need to get a wiggle on.Saving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

Make do: Nothing today.
Mend: Not actually mend but I made new candles out of old. I save all the bits at the bottom and heat them up to make new ones.
Minimise: Decluttered a toiletry drawer in the bathroom. I have so many bits of shower gel etc. Don’t think I need to buy new til at least July 😂#17 1p Challenge £125.65/671

Mend : small rip in a coat that I noticed yesterday ,will do that when I am back from coffee morning this morning

Good morning, can I rejoin this group. I used to post a few years ago then fell by the wayside 😳.
My things for yesterday are
Make do: I cooked a big tray of veggie lasagne to portion and freeze for when my son and his family visit. The edges were over browned so i cut them off and had them for my dinner. All I'll say is it was ok. I'm glad I didn't keep it for son but it did save me making dinner.Mend: I shortened the sleeves on 3 tops. I've been meaning to do this for months and finally did it yesterday.
Minimise: I used some 100% cotton yarn and finished knitting 2 dishcloths and a floor cloth yesterday. Over the last couple of weeks I've collected a large bag of stuff for the charity bag. Too much for me to carry in one go so I shall divide it into two smaller more manageable bags.
It feels good to write this all down again 🙂Debt free - Mortgage free - Work free ( in that order)

Make do: past their best Italian cheeses into a macaroni cheese. Scotch broth and lamb hash, making freezer space by using a breast of lamb and finishing the Christmas root vegetables. A celeriac and edamame bean curry using some curry paste that I have had open for a year. It’s surprising how far our existing stocks are stretching.Mend - retractable dog lead. Sewing up a top from fabric I had cut out last year. I didn’t have quite enough for the length of the sleeve so I am adding a cuff. A vigorous debobbling session to make two jumpers wearable again.Minimised - books out to CS and an online sale. Also, I have brought very little in so far this year and I hope to keep this up if I can.9

I have a curved needle somewhere in the depths of my sewing box.I found this video useful. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D8W3QJ3P6hs It’s about repairing cashmere but I am sure it would be fine for a blanket. They also have some info in kintsugi repairs. https://www.nearlynewcashmere.co.uk/blogs/news/kin-tsugi-in-the-dalesWell done on repairing your sofa @mandy476

Is there space for another one please?
I am trying my best to give my house / life / health a bit of a reorganising so this challenge slots in perfectly.
Make Do - Found a smoked gammon joint in the freezer which is currently defrosting in a bowl of water and will be cooked up later for tea with some roast potatoes and veg and then the leftovers will be made into a pie with some shortcrust pastry also found in the freezer!
Mend - Have holes in a pair of leggings and a seam rip in a pair of cycling shorts that I like to use when Im working out so will get those sorted today.
Minimise - Joined an online library which has plenty of audiobooks so have now reduced my amazon wishlist for books to just clutter up my space a bit more. Also recycling out and kids bedrooms tidied. Not much minimalising today.Time to find me again9 -
Have finished the jumper I was knitting so that's a Make Do (instead of buying new) and a Minimise of 385g 4-ply yarn from my stash.
Another Make Do & Minimise - Have made 6 portions of tomato & red pepper soup (approx 22p per portion) using existing stocks.
Other Minimising today - junk mail has been recycled.
Be kind to others and to yourself too.7
