Full of cold and can’t seem to shake it off and feeling pretty rough so pleased I managed to do anything today.
Make Do
i had some leftover broccoli and some unopened Stilton leftover from a Christmas cheeseboard, so I’ve made some soup which will do me for lunch a couple of days next week.
Mend
I mended the door bell…..well recharged the batteries but I’m counting it as a mend as it’s working again.
Minimize
made a start on sorting out some clothes ready for the charity shop. I’ve lost a couple of stone and most are almost new and good quality, but a couple of sizes to big, so someone might as well make could use of them. I’m a bit obsessive when it comes to wardrobes and drawers and like everything sorted into type, then colour and all facing the same way etc. and this is so much easier when there isn’t to much in there, so a re-sort is due when I’m feeling a bit more motivated.Well Behaved women seldom make history

4 months ago I noticed that our cobbler also replaces car keys, the plastic surround with the remote buttons. Our remote buttons had holes in their cover and were not working anymore. The car dealer asked around €500 for replacing both keys and the lock, the cobbler asked €15 for a new cover. That was an easy decision
However, every fortnight the battery would be empty, so I went back, and he fixed something to keep it from emptying and it's been fine these three weeks. I'm taking the spare key (same problem) to him next week.

I'm having a day off from MMM'ing today but I have drawn up a meal plan for the coming week with lots coming out of the freezer, so I suppose that counts as Minimising.
I'm just about to start sewing in the raglan sleeves of a jumper I'm knitting so I can do the neckband. Once done, that will count as a Make Do (instead of buying new) and a Minimise (of yarn stocks). Not counting it yet, that will come when it's ready to wear.Be kind to others and to yourself too.9 -
Make do - eaten from freezer. Found a roll of sausage meat so will be making patties tomorrow.Mend - nothing

Minimised 3 books thru a vinted sale today.
It was really the only 3 books I had, but ever since I got them, I've not looked at them at all, so it was time for them to go to a new home.10 -
I spoke too soon: the car key battery is empty again!

Still making do with my broken spray mop. The spray bottle and trigger broke, but it still works for putting the pad on. I just spray the floor with a multipurpose cleaner in a regular spray bottle. I do want a new spray mop, but tbh it's barely any more effort this way, and easier to direct the spray exactly where I want it.
Minimised grocery cost by going alone 😉
About to mend some leggings that now need fixing after every wear, strongly suspect they'll be minimised very soon. Challenge is to not replace them until I've lost some weight and need new onesMarried 40y.o. mum of an autistic 11y.o. Carer/SAHM.

Minimised
Finished another crocheted blanket. That will go to the charity shop this weekend.
Another box of various crafting paraphernalia going tonight. It was on Olio less than 5 minutes before someone asked for it.
Made do and minimised for dinner tonight.
Used up beef mince from freezer. Made 4 pasties and froze filling for another 4.
1 dozen mince pies with last bit of mincemeat left from Xmas. Stretched it out by adding a grated eating apple that was past its best.
Last bit of pastry to make a cheese and onion quiche. DH lunch for a few days.
I didn't want to put the oven on unless I could fill it.12 -
Evening everyone,
Make do and minimise
i reused a gift bag from the stash I save, but normally forget to use, but it was very pretty and perfect for a friends Birthday gift. So made do and minimised the stash.
mend
i can take no credit whatsoever, but yesterday I noticed a problem with our toilets, they weren’t flushing properly and when flushed the water was rising almost to the top of the toilet pan. Anyhow despite my best efforts with a plunger the problem wasn’t solved and said I’d better search for a plumber to come out.Today, I came home from work to find Mr M next to an open manhole cover than serves us and our next door neighbour. He was dressed like a black clad ghostbuster with gloves about the same length as my legs and goggles and was poking about with a long rod…and my greeting from him was an excited ‘come and look down here’ ….i not so politely declined muttering something about we need to call someone out….ten minutes later he appeared triumphant and proclaimed ‘all sorted, the main drain had bunged up and it appears a nappy was the culprit’.Now don’t get me wrong I’m delighted toilet service is back to normal, but am now left wondering how the heck a nappy got down there, it definitely wasn’t us and given our neighbour is an adorable 97 year old gent, I’m pretty certain he isn’t the culprit.
Apologies for those who have yet to eat dinner for the horrible mental image.Well Behaved women seldom make history
