Make do Salmon fillets from the freezer with veg also from freezer (another NSD today )
Mend . sewed up a seam on a cardigan that I wear mostly indoors, as its a bit like me (past its best ) but lovely and warm when sitting watching tv.
Minimised : another batch of paper work shredded from my filing cabinet. Plus another bag of books for the CS, Mostly text books from when I did my Uni course about 16 years ago. They have been sitting on one of my book shelves ever since.
Blooming nippy one tonight in Kent, so I'm off to bed to finish off my library book, third one of a Phillipa Gregory trilogy set in 1686.
Cheers chums stay warm if you can

Another successful day of making do and minimising.
Went to mums with the empty egg boxes to give back to her egg lady(I now have more eggs in boxes) and her carrier bag(I'm funny about bags!)
Not sent off the V!nted sale yet, but did find somewhere I can buy padded envelopes in packs(initial outlay is more than buying singles, but more cost effective in the long run and cheaper per envelope).
Threw away a testing kit I was sent. They didn't include any return instructions/envelope etc, plus the little tube with the fluid in looked all dried up.
That's all from me for today11 -
I’ve started decluttering, sorting and reducing what’s in the airing cupboard. So far have found a beautiful duvet cover I didn’t know I had. Really good quality cotton one as well.Tomorrow I shall bring the steps up so I can access the top shelf. Why do architects design inaccessible spaces? The cupboard goes right up to the ceiling but the flipping door doesn’t so you have to wiggle like a snake (waddle like a duck🤣🤣) to get anything in or out. I know I have pillows and duvets but quantity and sizes are unknown.Whatever you’re doing, have a great weekend xxSaving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

Not much today. Did however minimise some energy by going to work for 10 hours!
Have had another V!nted sale - bundle of 2 items - so will get that and the other one sent off tomorrow.
A very kind and generous customer bought my colleague and me a scratchcard each. Mine had £10 on it! I used some odd pence to buy a reduced-to-10% sweet bakery treat, the rest is safely in my purse for essential spends only.11 -
Happy me…ha ha happy me!
Make do - soup made on Friday for dinner
Mend - not exactly but did get to sort through a HUGE bag of yarns, sort them and ball them properly so I did kind of fix something 😆
Minimise - Only went and flipping dun it! Airing cupboard was emptied, completely sorted - I handled everything - decluttered and organised with labels on boxes too. Oh it’s such a relief that it’s done. Got rid of box of out of date meds /creams/lotions, 2 blankets full of holes, 2 boxes, a tin all in bins. A big black fleece throw, some duvet sets and a storage unit/trolley all for selling. My landing is clutter free, clean and tidy 😁😁Saving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

You're all inspiring me with your airing cupboard sorting. I think I should go through mine this week too.
I have 2 sewing projects - potentially. One bag I'm not sure of, but it reminds me of my mom so I'd like to fix it if possible. There are bits missing though so might just be for the bin, alas. Another owl bag just needs a stitch.Home improvement payments £16.8K to go

Not much today again.
Took an item to work with me I had listed on fb marketplace that I had arranged for the buyer to come collect and they never showed up. Oh well.
Took another item with me someone is coming to work to buy tomorrow and left it in the staff room. Hopefully this one actually goes.
Going to mums in the morning and she told me last time I was there she doesn't want all the books that are there(pretty much all of them were my dads) so I told her about ziffit. Going to scan some on there and see what she could get for them via that.9 -
Mended a pair of jeans. There was a whole on the seam that was very obvious. Old me would have thrown away. New me reasoned the mend might not be fabulous but who is going to be looking that closely? And they should last a few more months now, if not the year.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!10 -
Mended: dd2's slipper, loose threads on top tucked back in.
