Sadly our local pharmacy does at little as possible and won’t take meds back. I wonder if they have to pay for the disposal.Make do. - ate from what’s in the kitchen.Made four overnight oats, have no fresh fruit suitable for a topping so made a peach purée from a tin of peaches and it’s flipping
lovely.
Made batch of home made made oat bars with dregs of glacé cherries left in tub, bag of dried apricots, oats, honey, butter and a bit of
Vanilla. Taste heavenly, very pleased with them and all ingredients in kitchen already.
mend - nothing today
minimise - 2 boxes, 3 plastic delivery bags, 2 bags of newspapers (friend runs a rabbit rescue & uses as bedding)Saving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

I chucked some unused meds on the wood burner. Pharmacy would not take back and it seemed the safest way of disposing of them.
Am minimising by picking a drawer or a cupboard and going through them all. Nothing to sell but a surprising amount of rubbish has accumulated. Recycling where possible.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!8 -

The pile for the CS is growing and I have 3 options.
(1) Book a collection (these were suspended during and just after Covid; hopefully they have now resumed.
(2) Ask DS if he will give me a lift there next time he visits (I don't drive or have a car).
(3) Wait until the better weather arrives and make several trips using the wally trolley.
At the moment it's all in bags and boxes in the spare bedroom. I'm not tempted to take anything out but I want it gone.
I had hoped to get out today but we've had snow on top of the ice so it's a no-go. Maybe tomorrow. If not, I'll be shopping from food stocks again for the coming week's meal plan.
Only one Minimise today - a new, still in its package, shower curtain. It's grey, not my colour, and was gifted to me quite some time ago when I hadn't learned the art of declining graciously.

Hi everyone. Been lurking for a while. I'm desperate to make a dent in our clutter. We've lived here for over 15 years and it still looks like we've just moved in!
Make do - leftover veg stew with a ciabatta roll.
Mend - I have a mending pile, so will attack it this weekend.
Minimise - A black bag of old fabric which I know I won't use. (I say old because I acquired it from my late MIL)
Hopefully a weekend of sewing and knitting for me as the weather is too cold for gardening.
Happy Weekend!!

All I've done since my last post is minimise a bottle of stain spray stuff back to my mum today.
She lent it to me when I found a hoodie I had in storage and notices some small mould spots on it. I washed it with some stain powder in the washing machine - didn't come out. She told me about this stain spray so I tried that. Instructions say leave on no longer than 5-10 mins but I left it on for nearly 2 hours then washed - still didn't come out so the spray has gone back to mum.
If it works for her - great. But it didn't work for me in this instance.7 -
Hi fellow groupies.
make do - made four healthy servings of vegetable soup from fridge veggies, made more overnight oats to get through weekend. Think peach purée will last, if not will whizz another batch up- might even add kiwi fruit.
Mend - nothing
minimise - more flipping cardboard boxes. I swear they are breeding! I keep finding boxes left over from a huge eBay DH and I did last year. DH has chronic arthritis in his hand and can’t play guitar anymore, very sad, so he decided to sell all his collection….37 guitars. It’s paid off any debt we had which was almost nothing, just monthly bills, and made a gratefully received donation to our savings.Have a great weekend everyone. I reattached the handle to an airfryer accessory. The original screws could only be removed with a certain size allan key, which we didn't have, of course, but ingenious use of a phillips screwdriver got it sorted. There are now 2 phillips screws in the handle. The old screws are with the metal recycling. Are you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.599

No snow or ice today so I had a walk to the local Co-op for a few bits and managed a bit of Minimising at the same time.
x 2 men's jumpers dropped off at the SA clothing bank
A paperback (read and enjoyed) returned to the Little Free Library
x 2 batteries recycled at the Co-op
Mend - a small hole in a pair of leggings sewn up
Make Do - salad for tea tonight to use up various bits from the fridgeBe kind to others and to yourself too.8 -
Finally caught up with the posts, very inspiring, in particular sorting of airing cupboards….that is now on my to do list.
Make do
i was working today and I’m full of cold and had planned a takeaway when I came home as I just couldn’t be bothered, however, I grabbed a chilli out of the freezer on my way out and warmed that up when I got home instead….so made do and saved money.
Minimise
posted a lamp and a light fitting that I no longer need and have been in the garage for the last few month on my local zero waste site and a young couple collected them earlier.
Mend
the most difficult challenge for me….but fanfare and drum roll I actually repaired one of the dog beds and sewed up a small hole, not the neatest work but you can’t really tell as the beds are fluffy and at least the stuffing is no longer able to escape.Well Behaved women seldom make history
Early retirement goal... 2026

Make do
Food from freezer and cupboard for meals this week. Last of pigs in blankets on dinner today.
Mend
Managed to darn a tear in my sofa. Not invisible mending but pretty good to say I've never darned anything before
Minimise
A few more items on Olio waiting for collection
Large cardboard boxes flattened and will be put out for tomorrows recycling.
DD had had a major sort out in her bedroom. 2 large bags of rubbish and paper recycling bag is now full.10
