Defrost your turkey, don't forget!

Hi just a reminder to take your turkey out of our freezer in time for it to be thoroughly defrosted on Christmas day :D

  • Mines out already as we cook it overnight and DH got one that is near enough 10kg :eek: we have 6 adults and 2 toddlers for dinner so turkey party bags all round me thinks ;)

    Just took mine out about an hour ago.

    It's big and has to only feed 4 of us. Ah well, turkey something for the next week :D

  • bit off topic i know, but a lovely recipe for using leftover turkey or chicken is this..
    cooked pasta with fried mushrooms and onion ,chicken/turkey etc and a couple of good dollops of mayonnaise.... yummy!

    weve got a 3.8kg turkey, put it in freezer to defrost sat night about 11pm, hoping to cook it xmas morning.

    do you think its long enough to deforst?

    my fridge seems to take 1.5 x longer than the recommended defrosting guidelines on chickens, mince etc so am worried it wont be defrosted in time
