Hi - how old is your son? I've got a load of boys' clothes that I was going to give to a charity shop in the new year, I'm happy to send them to you instead, if you can let me know what age he is. It's all in perfectly good condition, and it might help out a bit?...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

Then I definitely have a load of good quality stuff you can have, for 9 - 12 months, or 12 to 18 months, or both, as you like.
If you know how, (I don't!) send me a private message and we can sort out the details?...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
Hi butterflylady!
Regarding the £80 a month on travel. I too am part of the club of non-drivers that end up hauling my bum all over the show on buses etc when required, which makes me keep an eye out for a good deal! Is that £80 on a pass or are you paying as you go ticket wise? In my local area (in Lancashire) it's £3.80 per day a return for my fare to work. So for 20 days per month (assuming I don't go out at weekends, which I try not to, cause I'll only spend money!!!) that's £76. So it makes sense for me to go for the monthly pass even though I'm not on the bus every day, as it's only £45, therefore saving me a wodge of cash in the long run. Plus if I do want to go to other places I can use it for that too. Is there something similar in your area?
Just mention it as you don't mention if you already have a pass or not, might be worth considering if you don't. Also, having one pass to put in to work might be easier then loads of bus tickets if you ever do manage to prise some cash out of your employers. That sounds off as well, I work for the NHS, which is admittedly probably a lot different to the private sector, but as well as business mileage rates there is a public transport allowance for non-drivers. Could you look into seeing if they have something similar, that way you might be able to get some, if not all, of your transport back?1st LBM (Pre-Career Change): 01 March 2006 Debt Free Date: 28 April 2008 | Worst Debt: £7244.36

Hi
Unfortunately there are 2 competing bus companies in my area and to get to some of my stations I have to use one and to get to other I have to use the other one. As I have to be at 2 stations a day I am unable to buy passes as it works out more expensive.
Work unfortunately don't think about saving money they link that if they pay for a day ticket I can use it all day which is unfair, so I have to pay for single journeys if I ever want to get any money back from them. Not that I can see that happening it didn't for the 8 months before I went off on Maternity leave!!! :mad:0
