Vegan and Gluten free Cake

Hiya,
I'm organising a hen do in January, and one of the girls is having a birthday so we thought we'd have a cake to celebrate. However, there seems to be the longest list of allergies I have ever seen in my life between the 18 of us but I think my biggest challenge to get round on the catering front is the vegan and gluten free people.
Can I get away with making one cake for the two of them? And how do I make a vegan cake? Does anyone have any recipes?
Thanks for your help!

If you scroll down through the lists on the right to 'desserts - cakes' there are loads of ideas0 -
If the on-line versions don't work out, there's also a good recipe in Barbara Cousins' "Cooking Without" Vegetarian - think it's a delicious fruit cake if you use egg replacer. I've cooked & eaten it (with regular eggs) & tasted like a 'regular' cake.0

Thank you
I quite like the sound of one of the chocolate ones
I'd had a previous google but wasn't sure if the ones I'd come up with would be nice, and/or how big a cup is!
Thanks again - will hate to try them all out now before I deliver... *innocent whistle* :rotfl:0
