Post-Mortgage check list?

Stuck to my plan and now I'm starting 2023 mortgage free ◝(ᵔᵕᵔ)◜

Does any know of any kind of handy check list for things I should now do? So far I've thought of...

Check the mortgage balance is 0 and that the payments have ended. (Done and done)
Confirm with Land Registry that I am now the registered owner of the property.
Get hold of the deeds.
Check insurance for any Mortgage protection policies.

Does anyone know of any other things that would be wise to do at this stage?

Cancel the direct debit to the bank - no idea if you need to, but it gave me immense pleasure doing so 😀😀😀! I don't think you'll have paper deeds returned to you, I never did, it's all held electronically these days.

Well done on your MF status, make sure you post your success on the MF roll of honour (actually, that should probably be the first thing on the checklist 🤣!)
    Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)
Cleared 🧚‍♀️🧚‍♀️🧚‍♀️!!! In 5 years, 1 month and 29 days
Total amount repaid: £72,307.03. £1.10 repaid for every £1.00 borrowed

Finally earning interest instead of paying it!!!

Yes my lender did say they had been 'de-materialised' 🙄 i.e. shredded. So yes, that'll be a Land Registry request this week along with confirmation that my Lender did actually, hopefully, inform them that I am now the owner.

Give it a few weeks and your lender will say the charge has been removed, then apply for an official copy register from the land reg at £3 ( use the.gov.uk site) to verify.

Deeds probably dematerialised, depends when you bought, when you borrowed last and who with as to what is now known as the pre registration deeds and documents.
