Please let me know what money moments you're proud of from this year. Let's celebrate each other's successes.

It doesn't have to be anything as large as clearing your debt; it could be taking a first step such as starting a debt-free diary, or finding a smart way of shaving down a bill.

Thank you.

2022?   All but giving up coffee etc out. At one point I was paying out £25 a week!
    Now a gainfully employed bassist.

Learning on these boards about budgeting for annuals was a revelation.

I thought I was good at managing my money but realised I just put big expenses on the card and then pay them off the next month rather than plan for them. But about to have an income drop and that won’t be possible soon. Have now got Zopa and Chase and am doing pots.

The debt boards are full of so much useful advice for everyone, I can’t believe I’ve been reading MSE for over 10 years but never looked at the debt boards until a few months ago.

Budgeting for annuals on a monthly basis is definitely the biggest change this year.

Finally realising that tackling my debt isn’t all doom and gloom! I started at just over 6k in debt not knowing what to do and now having just £295 to pay by the end of January. Also learning more about how to deal with debt and there’s actually decent companies who can help by offering part settlements.

oh and being a volunteer on here!
