How do people who have paid for an annual ticket on those routes stand? Some of these routes charge £1,000+ for the year so an annual ticket used to be a big saver, and now the fares have dropped to £2 a journey for 3 of those 12 months. Are they entitled to a (partial) refund?0

The Government has said today that the scheme will be extended for a further three months

extended to end of June, is it confirmed?0

Yes it's confirmed (see post above) but we don't yet know for sure that all operators who participated in the January to March offer will sign up for the next three months too.
Some operators have confirmed their participation (eg the Go Ahead group) but not others.Official MSE Forum Team member. Please report all problem posts to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

And following the PM's announcement this week of a further extension, @MSE_Molly_G has again updated the article:

Has the fares cap made a difference to how often you travel by bus?

"Has the fares cap made a difference to how often you travel by bus?"Possibly if there was an actual bus service where I live. The only means of travelling anywhere, locally, is by motorised vehicle (obviously not an omnibus), pushbike or walk!0
