Job package not fulfilled

Firstly I must start by saying I love my job and I love the company I work for.
I was offered a promotion and accepted it in August - one of the benefits I got was a company car in Sept.
I’ve just been told I can’t now have a car until maybe November.

Would it be unreasonable to ask for a compensatory benefit until then? I don’t want to act out with no reason, but I can’t help but feel if this was my salary that hadn’t increased as agreed, I would hesitate to ask.

Are you paying in any way for the car? Taxed for the benefit perhaps? This shouldn't happen until you actually have the keys.
Alternatively can they give you a car allowance? That would count as some compensation I would have thought.
