Finally got hungry about half eight. Tea was delicious, and I will be adding it to the meal plan at some point again. I made a little mango salsa and added a bit of hm coleslaw I'd made from prepped red cabbage that's been in the fridge for ages, but is going strong still (and I had pickled the rest)GC Jan £101.91/£150 Feb £70.96/150 Mar £100.43/150 Apr £108.45 app/150 May £149.70/150 Jun £155.15/150 July £74.69/£150 (includes food, toiletries and cleaning from 13th to 12th of each month. I looked through this chaps YouTube recipes and on his £5.for 5 days on day three I think it was he made some nice looking roosts from grated carrot and swede and cooked them alongside jacke potatoes. He has some really nice veggie based recipes on there HTH a bit ,well worth a look I think.More and more meals are going to be veggie based I think I do eat meat ,but far less than I used to so it makes a nice change to see new ones and he is brilliant he doesn't waste a scrap of anything at all7 -

Another brilliant one to watch is June who does Budget Eats on the Delish channel. She uses up every scrap of everything, and good at teaching you about different herbs and spices and aspects of Oriental cooking. She is in America though so access to things may differ. I love how down to earth she is and just a wonder basically ☺️
Edited to say June now has her own YT channel called June like the monthGC Jan £101.91/£150 Feb £70.96/150 Mar £100.43/150 Apr £108.45 app/150 May £149.70/150 Jun £155.15/150 July £74.69/£150 (includes food, toiletries and cleaning from 13th to 12th of each month. Ieaving about a quarter of the cauliflower left for my meat free Monday nights meal.
Tomorrow night I am at my eldest daughters for dinner, and Sunday nights dinner is at my youngest daughtersso apart from some fruit for breakfast tomorrow morning, and maybe scrambled eggs for Sunday breakfast, and a snack for lunch, not a lot of cooking for me over the next couple of days.
I made some Melting Moments biscuits for tomorrow night at DDs to have with our coffee if we fancy it. Also I have made a Manderine orange trifle to take with my for tomorrow nights pudding as its her favourite.
I will post next weeks menus on Sunday morning as I do my menus and veg prep whilst listening to The ArchersSunday morning ritual for me

Not meaning to blow my own trumpet, but tea was lovely tonight. It was meant to be Dan Dan noodles, but I had nothing I could replace for one of the ingredients I'd overlooked. The plan also was to use half vegan mince tonight in the DD noodles and half tomorrow. DD1 hadnt told me if she was still coming tomorrow,so I went with a Autumn Bibimbap ( basically another Buddha bowl with Kimchi) ; as I didn't want to defrost the mince unesscessarily. It turns out she is coming after all
It's meant to have Gochujang on the roasted veg but I had none left, so drizzled with chilli oil and added sweet chilli sauce later on. I subbed sprouts for cauli leaves. (Cauli still going strong from Easter). This was my favourite part, as they went crunchy in the air fryer like kale chips. I also added some pepper and edamame & broad beans. Rice is under there somewhere 😂

How did I not see this thread? It's already seven pages. I'll go back and take notes because I lack inspiration atm.
I usually plan for a month but I have a basic template which is
Sunday: Roast. I do wish they'd invent another animal! I circle through chicken lamb beef pork and gammon if it's a five week month
Monday: Leftovers, either reheated or more usually made into another dish eg shepherd's pie or chicken and bacon in a sauce
Tuesday: sausages or a mince dish. Sausages if Monday was mince eg shepherd's pie
Wednesday: something made with eggs/cheese
Thursday: chicken usually in something like a stir-fry to stretch a smaller portion. I use one chicken breast between two
Friday: Fish
Saturday: something a bit fancier/ a treatIt doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!5
