My averages are a little lower than yours, Martin, but I am not a runner. I do the upper body strength and flexibility by joining a mixture of on-line and in-person yoga classes, sometimes two or three a day - 30 so far this year (19 days!)
Last year 2021 was only 8,370,451 steps compared with 8,925,702 in 2020 and 8,422,716 in 2019, but I made a deliberate policy of not pushing for more, as I had some injuries.
It is definitely a way to keep the weight off, as I seem unable to put any on, despite eating cake, ice cream, crisps and chocolate regularly (in addition to my healthy diet of 10 portions of fruit and veg a day)!
