Exercise and garden clearing sounds good. Takeaways are fine as long as they are limited and a treat rather than a go to for daily life.

You're so right @savingholmes - they had become the "go to" rather than an occasional treat!

Oopps haven't posted for a little while - that's normally when I start slipping however I'm pleased to report that isn't the case on this occasion!

I had the day off on Friday so I took some more bits to the tip and then went and collected some leaflets as I signed up to distribute them. I then did a bit of a shop in Ald* but that was all I spent as just spent the rest of the afternoon at home relaxing. I did start making myself a top using yarn which was leftover from a previous project - so that's helping with the decluttering as well as giving me a new top!

Saturday I kept my friend company when she went to pick up a new bunny as was over an hour drive each way. We then walked down to a beach bar where she bought me lunch for keeping her company and for the pair of guinea pigs I crocheted her (as a present for her stepmum) but didn't charge her. Was an absolutely lovely afternoon and made me realise I need to make more of living near the beach! I also listed some stone on FB (OH had already put on Gumtre*) however no takers yet - fingers crossed though!

Sunday I then spent a few hours in the morning delivering leaflets - couldn't complete them all as was desperate for a pee! However I plan to finish them today on my way home from work (hoping they will only take about 30-45 mins) as then I can claim the £50 for doing it. It wasn't bad actually as it was beautiful weather but I did walk over 6 miles in 2 1/2 hours and far too many houses had steps up to the front door!!! I then did a bit of running around, including going to my parents to collect a new tortoise enclosure my dad had built but also came away with some water deal (for the enclosure), a jumper my mum knitted for me and two Easter eggs!

So very little a very busy weekend but very little spent and a few things gained!

Living near a beach sounds amazing. Well done on the leafleting. Glad you had a nice time with friends too.

@savingholmes - I am very lucky and don't visit it nearly enough! I used to park for free and walk the mile along the beachfront to and from  work, however that was pre-lockdown and my office has since moved so can't do it (but I do now get free parking at work!)

I completed the leaflets last night so have messaged them to sort out payment. Bonus they have asked if I want to do more! That load worked out £55 for 3 hours, so seems worth it. I have decided the money is going to be put aside as the start of the hen do which I may/may not be going on next month. (I've paid for it but I can't currently enter the country unless the covid rules change before we go, as the destination has changed).

I currently have a £5 off a £25 spend at L*ld to use before Thursday as well as an £18 off £60 spend for Sa*nsburys to use before the end of the month. I'm pleased to have those bits off money off as it all helps! Good thing is the Sa*nsburys one is a delivery/click and collect shop - so I will choose the cheapest option and then make sure I am restrained with the shopping! £60 sounds like a lot but actually doesn't really go that far anymore - and I know if it was in-store I would throw "extras" in to make sure I hit that amount!

Just popping in with a quick update!

I went to the dentist this morning and thankfully didn't need anything doing! So just £23.80 fee and another check-up booked for 6 months time. I do have the hygienist next week but hoping what I have budgeted covers the cost of that as well.

As I was already going to be late for work, I swung by and picked up the next batch of leaflets. Although I'm still* waiting to be paid for the last lot. (*I only told them I'd completed it/requested payment on Tuesday morning!) Annoyingly this lot are a bit more disjointed i.e. the roads aren't all joined up - so thinking I might do some of the odd roads on my way from work on various nights and do the main lot at the weekend.

Don't think there's anything else to report, so for once I won't waffle on!

I've been paid £50 for the first lot of leaflets so have put that aside for spending money for the hen do. And I also received £5 reward from my bank account so I've paid that off my Hcard.

Fingers crossed OH gets paid tomorrow and then I can make a bit more movement on things!

Great news on the pay. Good luck with the leafleting. Exercise and £ - I'd say it can't be bad - but definitely important to wear supportive shoes - and as you say pace yourself.

I've done leafletting in the past for local & general elections. It always took me much longer than I anticipated, especially the more expensive areas of town with really long drives!
