I was a lurker back when I first heard of you JackieO. No idea how to use the internet but drove the offspring loopy asking to read your OS posts on a daily basis.I'd discovered you and others when I bought Old Style Ways For Modern Days. The daughters got a bit fed up with my demands so one day DD1 bought me a shiny new Dell laptop on the understanding I taught myself how to use it . That didn't go well until DD3 took pity on me and started to teach me,I was born a few years after WW2 and your posts reminded me of my childhood and the food my mum cooked until rationing finally came to an end. I loved your talk of the family and how you stretched the pennies. Later years the IOW holidays. I know many of us missed you when the new Vanilla platform was rolled out and there are others too we still miss. The boys are now men and it's lovely to see your update.I've just come home after a long rather frustrating day and seeing you here has put a smile on my face. Looking forward to seeing you back where you belong. Take care.pollyxIt is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.
