Welcome back hun .No idea who's been pressuring you though π€ π π π xxx"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Oh bless you all what a lovely welcome. Well where do I start My lovely grandson are all taller than me
Β
not hard as I'm not vertically challenged.
Β The eldest Danny, 31 is married and lives in New York and is earning shed loads of cash ( lucky blighter )
Next grandchild down Katie 28 is also married and now has two beautiful little girls Erin and Ida almost 4 and 2
then comes the eldest son of my tribe that I helped to bring up Ben,26 ,he is out of Uni and living in Camden Town in London and teaching at Edgeware in a primary school and absolutely loves it. His next brother down Jack 21 has finished Uni and doing his post-grad teaching course and works in a girls grammar school in Chatham. his next brother down Henry 20, has only 6 months more at Essex Uni where he is studying for a business degree. The baby of them all is my 6 foot plus Mikey, at 17 has only 6 more months to do of his A levels then he leaves and hope to start his Uni degree in September. I am pleased at the fact they are all grafters, and have worked at various jobs in between their studies Obviously with Nanny telling them as they were growing up that education Β will give them a good start in life ,must have sunk in at some pointΒ I'm still jogging along a bit older, a bit slower of gait, but still being, as my two DDs would have it 'Frau Frugal' and saving my pennies for the important things in life , like family ,books and fun.
Hope you all are ok and keeping well. What a weird couple of years its been, everyones lives turned upside down and normality gone out of the window Hopfully we may get life back at some point but the pandemic has changed an awful lot of peoples lives ,some sadly not for the better. I keep myself as safe as I can as having low immunity doesn't give a great deal of confidence or protection from the virus.
But so far so good and being the eternal optimist I just think Onwards and Upwards Β
I am doing a no-spend January, on day 12 now, and touch wood so far have stayed away from the supermarkets and shops this year. Eating from my cupboards and freezer is the idea at the moment ,and have found some bits and pieces in there that I have forgotten about .
But once cooked were eaten at leastΒ those who know me of old, know I am a Love Food, Hate waste lady
Β If its at all edible it will jolly well get eaten and not binned.Β
Right time for a cuppa and a piece of my sis-in-laws Christmas cake that she bakes for me every year
(Β I'm the only one who likes Christmas cake in the family so it takes me until the end of january as a rule to finish it up )
Cheers chums JackieO xx29 -
