Just wondering if anyone has any nice stories about competitions they have won where the company has gone above and beyond to make the win memorable?
We won a holiday to Australia and as my wife was in the early stages of pregnancy after trying for so long we decided it wasn't advisable to go, my mother in law was turning 50 and the promoter NDL group let us gift it to my mother in law and she had the best holiday ever and we were able to give her a gift we could never have afforded, luckily we have been Australia before

Mine would be a comp win from LBC (Global) radio and Hampton by Hilton hotels 6 years ago. The prize was a 2 night hotel stay (including meals & rail travel) up in York. We live down south so it was a reasonable distance to travel. At the time I was having chemotherapy for breast cancer and didn't want to risk travelling so far when I had already had two stays in hospital due to infections caught when my immune system was low.I asked the organiser if I could postpone the trip until I had finished chemo. They said that would be no problem and I should contact them once I was fit to travel. And, as well as being so helpful, they also arranged for another weekend away for us at a hotel in Bournemouth, much closer to us, which we were able to take at short notice when I was fit and well between chemo sessions. So we had a lovely sunny weekend walking on the beach in Bournemouth during my chemo, and once my treatment was all over we enjoyed a trip to York as well.It was a lovely gesture by them, and much appreciated by us at a difficult time.9

My best ever win was a Stoneytoons caption comp in 2015. The prize was a book and some fun stationary bits. Best of all was the black and white blank drawing to caption, as well as the colour finished version, with my caption showing. I have them framed on my living room wall. There's something special about winning an effort-based competition.

I am who I'm meant to be
I'm not scared to be seen
I make no apology

I won a four night break for two at Champneys, with treatments included. When we arrived, they asked if we would like to be upgraded, as they had a top of the range suite empty. Well of course, we did. Word got around that we had won the stay and each time we had a treatment, we were given goodies to take away. We would go back to our room with our pockets bulging. At the evening meal, we would always be given a little extra free of charge, like a glass of wine, or posh water. It was a lovely stay, which was made even more special by the staff.9

Won a two day holiday to Monaco staying in the Fairmont Hotel, some years ago. Flights from Glasgow to Nice only ran twice a week, 3 days apart, and we asked if it would be ok to book ourselves an extra night in Nice to avoid travelling from another airport. The promoters replied with "Not a problem, have an extra night in the Fairmont!". Brilliant holiday, chauffeur limo right at the door of Nice airport, amazing room with a huge bed and pillows the size of a small car and apparently the room cost £700/night. The Fairmont staff bent over backwards to make us comfortable and it was one of the best prizes I've won.9

I won a football competition with cadburys for four people to watch a Premier league team in Europe in a pre season friendly. We should have been going to Salzburg to watch Chelsea but that fell through so we were offered Arsenal in Barcelona instead. I have been to watch Barcelona a couple of times so I asked if we could go to Norway to watch Manchester United instead and they agreed to it. Their promotions team were fantastic to deal with.
We also bought tickets to watch the ladies team the following night. Our flight out to Oslo we ended up on the same flight as the ladies team and got a few photos with them at the airport.4
