The change, which the Government says will be implemented as soon as Parliamentary time allows for it, will make it illegal for employers to withhold tips from their workers.

    This should always have been the case, so it's good for workers that there's a legal protection.

    But tipping is an awkward social etiquette that I'm not a fan of (it has been shown time and again that tips don't correlate with good service).
