Aargh, where to post this.

Where have all the decent films gone (or am I getting old).

I bought 6 films recently, mainly for an actor, spending some £40.00 quid

The gentlemen (I liked peaky blinders) but in my opinion this was rubbish
Their finest, so boring, switched off after 10 minutes
vice, the story was narrated
a kind of murder, so boring
a classic film, the long goodbye, nope another boring.

To give an Idea
the film must be in English (no subtitles for foreign language), but yes subtitles
I've seen enough wonder heroes (starting Superman, Christopher Reeve)
no modern humour (that's what they call humour)

Thrillers
crime

Loved Sixth Sense,
the Green mile
Edge of Darkness
Liam Neeson
contact
imitation game

all-time favs
dances with wolves
Bette Midler, beaches
cold mountain
Delores Claiborne
a good year a lot of Russell Crowe

So, where are they all hiding?

Since you liked Contact you'll probably like Interstellar (2014) if you've not already seen it.  Also Gravity is a bit similar.
