Hello money savers. I want a place to record all my thinking, ideas, actions and progress as I meander along this path to paying off my debts. They are much smaller than they used to be and the end could be in sight, but for some reason that makes it harder to focus!

Current CC debt: £2915.71
Other debts: Car payment due Dec 2023 £6400

We are also saving for a refurbishment to our bathroom (much needed and pretty essential). I am working some temp shifts at the moment and am trying to add all the earnings from that into the bathroom pot. We have £2600 in there so far. I'm not really sure how much we will need in total though. Getting some quotes is on my July list of jobs! The work will end over the summer at some point so I am trying to make the most of it while I can.

I am often guilty of having too many projects on the go at once, so I think I need to pull back and keep focused on my current goals:

1) Pay off credit card - £100 per month budgeted plus trying to find another £143.17 this month to keep on track
2) Bathroom fund - All my earnings
3) Debt free holiday this summer - the accommodation is paid for (Lake Dirstict) so we just need spending. We have £180 in the pot so far and I plan to add some more at the end of the month (Hubbys on call payment + Aug swimming lesson payment that won't be needed + usual Holiday savings). Expecting that to be around another £500 for a total of £685. This will include days out, food, treats, ice creams and coffees, petrol etc).

My plan is to keep focused on these 3 tasks. I've set myself a budget for groceries of £400 for the month which should be simple as long as I stay focused. I'll try to update that here too as it all keeps me on track.

I've listed some unwanted items on FB and am waiting to see if they sell (eta one has already!).

I also need to list a few other bits over the next few days:
    • Scooter
    • Jigsaw puzzle
    • Headphones
    • Ipad (trade in at CEX)
    • Books
Listing them here to keep me accountable!

Just remembered my Freetrade account and logged in to find £17.91! Cashed in the share and I can withdraw the money in a day or 2. Also referred my hubby so we should both get a free share from that!

Also found £3 hidden in my revolut shares so I’ve also cashed that in and will add it to the total.

I have quite a few places I can refer to for cash - Quidco, Bulb Energy, Revolut, Curve, Monese. I’ll have to have a think about how/who to share these with! Lots of potential there

I’m very proud of myself - went to the petrol station this morning for a loaf of bread and that’s all I picked up! £1.25 spend only!!

Sold some books this morning on the local selling sites - adding to the pot bit by bit
