Don't throw out those party tablecloths!

If you buy for Christmas (or any other occasion like kiddie's birthday parties) a plastic/vinyl 'disposable' tablecloth (not the paper sort!), don't throw it out! I've had two of these disposable tablecloths for our children's parties and have successfully washed them in the washing machine on the delicates/wool cycle (i.e. low temp of 30 or a cold wash). They come up great (need somewhere to hang it to drip dry) and can then be used for painting or craft sessions. Playdough rolls out great on them too. When it's suitably messy and covered in 2 layers of finger paint, throw it back in the washing machine and it'll be good to go again!

  • Ive done this as well! They make great messy mats for painting etc...much cheaper than the 'proper' messy mats as well!
