I preferred the old Virgin Red it gave me something to do where I did not have to spend money.
They have given me 500 points that I will spend in Greggs then I might as well forget about it.

I have over 100k Virgin Flying Club miles and was wondering whether linking it to my new Virgin Red is good/bad or has no impact.
    Any thoughts?

Before you make the BIG mistake of 'switching' to Virgin Money, do some research before you do.

    My story:
I am a Virgin Atlantic CC+ holder, so collecting Airmiles is my thing.
I hold Virgin ISA & Virgin Life insurance....
I joined Virgin Red as a freebie.

I saw the offer of 15000 Virgin Red points (in my case, 15k Airmiles) if i switched from a good bank to a poor customer service bank (granted, this is my opinion now, but is also what i read 'hearsay' about this bank/Clydesdale Bank..... )

So i followed the process down to a T,  logging into my Virgin Red account, reading the gumph about the 15k virgin red points, and clicking the link to open a Virgin Money account and do the switch (and move my savings).....
Following the 5 steps/points the website stipulates you do, this has been done since last week (switched)...

However, rather than get my 15k points, i got a Wine Voucher code instead. (which wont work anyway, as i didnt follow a different sign-up process which enables the wine option)....
Now the fun starts, phonecalls to VM (and there wait time is average 45-55 mins to talk) = someone will look into it (this is from last week)
The social media team dont appear to know there own website for what Virgin Red state when connecting to Virgin Money...

At present, i feel the switch i made from HSBC to Virgin Money was a bad move, only due to feeling Mis-lead.... (i will update this post if they resolve the matter before i end up opening another bank account and doing a switch to them to get away from Virgin Money...)
As said, just my story on the "switch to get points" ........ or no points in my case..
