Banked the selling pennies and had £15 more this morning so that's another £75 off the Car CC.
Still more to come, £35 promised (albeit that is never guaranteed until I have the cash in my hands!) but I think I'm running out of things to sell again. Hate it when that happens!
Edit: Totally found more to sell...! £30 total in my pocket so far today (including the above £15), another £20 awaited today and another £20 awaited later in the week. Plus there are still a fair few things listed and I found another bag of clothes that I must have sorted to sell but never got around to, so that's my evening activity.
I won't update every single sale, that would be really boring, but I will keep this up regularly as it's the best I can do at the moment to speed up this debt process. Plus I have a running total of sales profit going on my spreadsheet and the latest one took it to just over £300 for the month. Not bad at all, especially if I can keep going. New personal goal is to see how high I can get that sum before the month is out!Debt Free I FFEF I Building Savings I 2025 Plan:- Regular Savings £9,800/£10,000

£57 made today, need to bank it yet but car CC is coming down bit by bit and I’m just going to keep on listing things.Currently plenty left waiting and hoping someone will want and pay for!I think I have £10 pending for things promised to people picking up at a later date, I’m going to be gutted when I get a day with nothing made!!Debt Free I FFEF I Building Savings I 2025 Plan:

Had an unexpected payment out today of £250, but it's all fine because I also had a freelance payment in that I never account for until it hits. The net amount for the freelance was £350 and some change, so I was able to pay the unplanned £250 out and still have an extra £100 to slush to the Car CC, bringing it down to £3,450. It's almost as if it was meant to be and means I didn't have to touch the emergency fund.
I've also made £50 in sales today, with another £25 to come before the day is out (fingers crossed) so it's still all going well there and each sale is giving me a push to find more. So far the vast majority has been stuff from the garage - you know when you don't have anywhere to keep something in the house anymore so it goes to the loft/garage for when you do. Well I just decided there will never be room inside for these things so off they go to houses that will appreciate them more. I'm up to £407.22 made from selling now so that feels incredible and gives me more incentive to keep going. I'm also glad to have a clear out and it is extending slightly into the house because somehow stuff does seem to accumulate inside too and you don't give it a second thought about whether you actually like it/love it etc because it's just there! I do need to have an evening of listing kids clothes though, I've tried the lazy way of selling things as a bundle on marketplace but nobody seems to be interested in them, so single listings I think are the way forward again, it's just such an effort in comparison!!!
Of the selling funds I have £100 cash still to put into the bank (not including the additional £25 I should get later today), which still needs to come off the Car CC and which will bring it down to £3,350 or less. I've really made a decent inroad into the amount needed to bring full payment of this CC forward a month. If my backpay does come through as it should this month, the Car CC will be paid off in full but if it doesn't, I'm getting close anyway - I think I'm £450 off. So the more I can keep finding to sell, the closer that step is, and I've already proven that £5/£10/£20 here and there really does add up.Debt Free I FFEF I Building Savings I 2025 Plan:- Regular Savings £9,800/£10,000

Another £120 paid into the bank and off the Car CC, down to £3,330 and just now over £11k paid off so far this year!
The bill will hit any day now and the interest added, which shouldn't be much with all the additional payments I've made I don't think. The bill last month was £7,023.69 (the £23.69 was interest) so to have it down to £3,330 before this month's bill is amazing.
Selling is slowing down now and I seem to have quite a lot of items not wanted. I figure I'll just leave them there and give it time. I STILL need to to the kids clothes and I will keep looking for other bits to clear, but today may be the day the run ends!!
Otherwise, we're half way through the month (counting payday to payday) and we are spot on 50% of the food budget, so that's good because usually we're more like 70% of it spent by now!!Debt Free I FFEF I Building Savings I 2025 Plan:- Regular Savings £9,800/£10,000

£16.48 interest added, so that's come off the interest saved amount and I have managed to pay off that and an additional £100 from savings that have become available (I have a savings account where I put £10 in per month and it is moved after a year to an account I can touch. I used to pay more in per month but will start that again once the debt is gone. Car CC down to £3,230.
Sales are definitely slowing, but a little drip coming in still and another weekend for me to have a push on anything left!!Debt Free I FFEF I Building Savings I 2025 Plan:- Regular Savings £9,800/£10,000

If I can find another £320, the Car CC will be paid off this coming payday, regardless of whether my backpay comes through as it should. Anything I can chip away at that £320 will be greatDebt Free I FFEF I Building Savings I 2025 Plan:

I have finally got my act together to sell the kids old clothes - I sold a couple on eBay during the last week but after fees I’m making about 33p, which doesn’t help the lack of motivation to bother to spend the inordinate amount of time listing things
I downloaded Vinted and I’m a fan already - I’ve sold 2 things before I’m even half way through listing things and its so much simpler to get things on there, no annoying list of details, just straight forward stuff you actually bother to look at when buying. The two items sold comes to a whopping £4.25 profit but I’d have had to have sold them for about twice the price on eBay to clear that profit, so I’m definitely going with this for everything in future!Debt Free I FFEF I Building Savings I 2025 Plan:- Regular Savings £9,800/£10,000

There are two main differences - the first is that the buyer can choose the postage option so can buy a hermes postage for you, so you just have to print the label and drop it at a parcelshop. I've had one do this, the other has paid for royal mail second class so I'll take that to the post office as normal. The parcelshop is a little further away for me, a car journey rather than a walk, but I don't really mind that. The other is that there are no fees. I would say the downside is that they don't release the funds until the buyer has clicked to confirm they've received the item and are happy with it, but with ebay's new payment system you don't get the money straight away either so that's kind of on par now.
I am going to list everything I have for now and see how it goes over the next couple of weeks. I will report back!Debt Free I FFEF I Building Savings I 2025 Plan:- Regular Savings £9,800/£10,000
