Hi my mum was pressured into being a guarantor for my brother. So ended up paying the whole loan back on behalf my brother. My mum has now passed away. Can we still claim on her behalf as it was my dad that actually paid as my mum didn't have the finances to pay the loan as she was pressured into it by my brother an not credit checked by amigo
Thank you

Claim for what exactly?helpful tips
it's spelt d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y
there - 'in or at that place'
their - 'owned by them'
they're - 'they are'
it's bought not brought (i just bought my chicken a suit from that new shop for £6.34)0 -
My apologies I did not check my spelling I was typing in a tiny box that is difficult to go back an read what you have typed. An you could be slightly nicer re the spelling. Don't pick on people who misspell things it's rude. People are genuinely looking for help not to be judged on spelling0

There information saying you can complain if you were a guarantor. An not credit checked. There is a feed an link on the website saying you can claim back if you were wrongly sold bit like ppi. So hence my question are they able to claim anything back!0

Hi Julie,I`ve moved your post to one of my boards, where we are, lets say, not judgemental of your situation.I am unsure if you can make an affordabilty claim on behalf of a deceased guarantor.I suggest you check with National Debtline or CAB, then if you can make a complaint, do so by using the resourses on the debt camel website here -

If you are the personal representative, I see no reason why you should not complain, on behalf of the estate.
This will be a fair amount of work but if you're up to it, do it. I believe 80% of complaints are upheld by FOS.0
