Asda's 5 for £5 offer - online orders?
Options
Sorry if this has been answered previously, but just wondering what happens if Asda are unable to fulfil this part of your order.
They're currently running a mix & match promotion on a number of items where if you add any 5 items from their selection into your basket, they'll charge you £5.00 instead of say £10 (assuming each different item costs £2 individually).
What if they don't have stock of pizza A you selected, do they charge you full price for the remaining 4 items in stock at original full price?

if they didnt have one item, they would sub it and still charge you £5 if you have selected to receive subs.
if you have said no to subs, I would imagine they would sent 4 items and charge full price for them but you could then give them back to the driver.

I think you pay the offer price ie £1 for the product (I think this happened to me when I bought crisps -£3.50 for 3, 2 were delivered so I paid the price of £3.50 divided by 3 times 2 - £2.30ish).1

Only situation i'd suggest allowing substitutions on your order items.0

I had it at Tesco years ago where they replaced a six pack of crisps with a 10 pack as a sub and charged the same price, but this didn't trigger the multi-buy so I was overall worse off. Hopefully the online shopping has improved and you don't get this as much.0
