The annual WorldTempus Big Summer Competition is back, and if you’ve been having the kind of year that I’ve been having, you’re ready for a good, long break. For the second consecutive year, we’re offering as our Big Summer Competition grand prize a vacation at a tropical beach resort in Mauritius. Le Trou aux Biches is a five-star luxury getaway on the northwestern coast of Mauritius, steps away from a pellucid turquoise lagoon, fronted by a shimmering white beach, perfectly positioned some of the most spectacular sunset views anywhere in the world. We’re offering you, our readers, a six-night stay for two at this little slice of Eden.

 Yes - In 1994, after the fall of the Berlin Wall and the reunification of Germany, GUB was privatised and renamed itself Glashütte Original. Why “Original”? The reputation of Glashütte-made watches was well established, and some companies with no connection to the town chose to misleadingly associate themselves with the name.

    Yes. Corrrect.  "In 2006, Karl-Friedrich Scheufele, co-president of Chopard, quietly bought the name “Ferdinand Berthoud”. It took a further nine years, until 2015, for him to speak up and begin to lay the foundations of what has since become La Chronométrie Ferdinand Berthoud."

World Tempus seem to be confusing themselves with these comps just now.
Their latest newsletter today says "Win a Wall Clock" but the links just take you to the website and there does not seem to be a comp.
It also shows a previous comp for "A set of MB&F x Caran d'Ache pencils" but that doesn't seem to exist either.
