    The Treasury estimates the move [removal of 5% VAT] will save the average woman nearly £40 over her lifetime, with a cut of 7p on a pack of 20 tampons and 5p on 12 pads.
    Really pushing the boat out on this one ain't he?
    Next up - 'razor tax' of 20% VAT to be abolished? I'm sure it'll be shorter than a lifetime before that saves £40; the VAT on these alone is over £50:
