The Forth Bridge opened 1890 Not to be confused by the Forth ROAD Bridge. Was opened in 1890. Built to encourage use and public travel.
The Queensferry crossing opened in 2017 with only 2 lane's each way. No pedestrian or cycle access, Still having snagging problems and closures in extreme weather. Built as a vanity project on the cheap with chinese steel to increase congestion and discourage use and public travel.
Already over a million more vehicles trying to use it than the previous Road bridge which is basically standing empty. Shocking the Scottish government and the greens who where basically instrumental in design, hoping to force people onto a non existent increase in public transport.
One a triumph for Scottish engineering. One a triumph for missed opportunities.

The Queensferry crossing opened in 2017 with only a handful of closures in very extreme weather. Built as a replacement for the crumbling/corroding Forth Road Bridge that regularly closed due to high winds and also frequently closed / had restrictions due to ongoing repairs. These closures cost the Scottish economy millions of pounds every year. The partially operational Forth Road Bridge is used for public transport and emergency vehicles only.
The entire Scottish Parliament was instrumental in design and approval of this key part of the Scottish Road network.
Zero triumphs for ill-informed troglodytes.

"Correction the Forth Bridge opened in 1890"

I use the queensferry crossing or try to nearly every day. It is not fit for purpose, built to the same capacity of the 1964 forth Road bridge.
Which had future use and increased capacity built into it at that time. Queensferry crossing deliberately planned and built to increase congestion and force car drivers away to use basically the promised non existant public transport.
Closed recently for days. Forcing all drivers to take a 35 mile detour.
The old road bridge was closed only to high sided vehicles when under extreme high winds
2 lanes each way. Unable to take the extra one million more vehicles a year without traffic being at a standstill bumper to bumper when slowly crawling along.

Zero triumphs for ill-informed troglodytes.Troglodytes[1] is a genus of small passerine birds in the wren family Or A troglodyte is a human cave dweller, from the Greek trogle "hole, mouse-hole" and dyein "go in, dive in". - 🤣🤣🤣

Called as above. Not called Forth Rail Bridge.
THE FORTH ROAD BRIDGE is called that because it was a road bridge

Called as above. The Forth Road Bridge.
Proper names, confused by people who do not use either or are not local.
