Private business = deteriorating but always increasingly expensive service. You would have thought that we would have already learnt that lesson. They also seem to use other private providers abroad and seemingly bypass any publicly owned postal service...which it should be added are always more expensive than their publicly owned counterparts and provide an inferior service.
In fact, there are so many delivery companies these days, its all rather ridiculous.

  • erudioed   They need to end the one price any where and be free to charge extra to remote areas and islands, the same as rivals do.  Publicly owned alternatives are all well and good but the likes of  my hermes in CV37 steel things they are meant to have delivered then refuse compensation
  • The whole situation of over a dozen couriers travelling over the same routes every day is a ridiculous situation for pollution, global warming, traffic congestion etc. All deliveries should be put back in the hands of Royal Mail so they only have one or two vans in one area delivering and, once again, can make money on services cherry picked by rivals who do not have to deliver to every address in the Bristish Isles for a standard price.
