Did some OT at work yesterday which was to take some of the residents out for an activity. That part was fun but for the whole time I was in the building, I just got bombarded with moans about various things from staff to the point I had to say it's supposed to be my weekend off, I'm just in to do the activity, we'll speak about this on Monday. Sometimes I wish I could afford the drop in wages and go back to being a support worker, would be much less stressful. However, I can't afford it and I do love my job (most of the time!) so I will just have to mentally prepare myself for tomorrow.
Yesterday's spends were £3.99 on shampoo and £15.50 on foodI ended up just buying total rubbish for last night's tea. I really need to get back doing proper meal plans and sticking to them!
Today's plans are sorting out ynab as it's a total mess, making a meal plan, doing a food shop and dying my hair. Think I might post my meal plan here, hopefully that will make me stick to it.
£20 has been added to my LISA as I had transferred a very small old workplace pension to the same provider. My plan is to add to the pension in the future. I'm also waiting for money to become available to cash out in PA so will transfer that to the holiday fund once I've cashed out.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Meal plan is done and £27.41 spent on food.
Today - chicken fajitasTomorrow - out with friendTuesday - at work so ready meal bought for thatWednesday - sausages and roasted vegThursday - egg fried riceFriday - fishcake, wedges and peasSaturday - veg omelette
Breakfast will be fruit and yoghurt and lunch will be sandwiches, have got ham, cheese, tuna and egg to use as fillings. There's also a couple of tins in the cupboard so could also have soup and bread as an option. OH usually has a late breakfast of cereal or porridge so doesn't have lunch. Just have to stick to it now.
Sorted out ynab and even with the £100 I moved from savings, I will only be left with £1.02 after the remaining direct debits go out for the monthreally made a muck-up of my finances this month! So I have moved another £30 out of savings to cover my meal out tomorrow night and any additional food items we need (hopefully just milk and fruit). I'm hoping to make the petrol I have left in the car last. I think it will, it just begins to stress me out when it drops below a certain level.
Still to dye my hair so will do that later and will also start looking a budget for payday which is Thursday.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

It sure does beanie
PA money became available to cash out yesterday so £6.43 moved to the holiday fund.
I also found a receipt for £10 in my purse which was work stuff I'd forgotten about so will get that reimbursed today.
Have worked out the budget for payday but I can't quite believe how much more I need to budget for all the usual bills as everything has increased. However after all the usual stuff is budgeted for, there is £850.23 left to top up savings pots.
£50 clothes
£20 presents£50 home£30.23 extra payment to credit card£130 to replace borrowed savings£170 holiday
£200 flat deposit
£200 car
I need to double check how long is left of the 0% interest period for the credit card. I've been paying it off at £100 a month but I don't think that will completely clear it before the 0% runs out so need to work out how much extra I will need to pay.
I better go and start getting myself organised for work, hope everyone has a good MondayMortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

So weirdly I can't find a date for when the 0% period on the credit card runs out but I'm pretty sure that it was 18 months and I took it out in December last year. So I will have to pay an extra £369.68 to get it paid off before the 0% period runs out, that sounds doable
I've currently got £1 left in my bank account and £8.09 left in my purse after tea out with my friend on Monday, a very small petrol top-up (was stressing me out too much so just put in £10) and a few food items. I get paid tomorrow but going to try and get by until the end of the month with what I've currently got. Need to get sweet chilli sauce for the egg fried rice tomorrow plus bread and yoghurt but other than that, shouldn't need anything else as long as we stick to the meal plan.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Payday today
All the savings pots have been topped up and I've made the extra payment to the credit card. Signature has been updated.
April's LISA bonus was added on today so that means I got the full government bonus from the last tax year. Not sure I'll manage the same this year but it's a good target to aim for.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Spends for today were £2.49 on sweet chilli sauce and yoghurt. Totally forgot to get bread but have enough for my sandwich tomorrow and can get bread on the way home.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

well done on the LISA bonus :-)
You are doing great with the car fund and emergency fund which must give you peace of mind, yes they may not stay at 100% but its there (well almost for the car) and once you are up to target on those its more available for the holiday/flat funds :-)
It is difficult at the mo with prices going up for everything, but apart from gas/electric its worth reviewing other contracts to see if there is a better deal out there.
I'm a switching tart and have been for a long time, banks to get the reward for switching, mobiles, gas/electric in the days when that was possible, insurance, broadband etc every little helps.

Thanks Boodedoo
You've reminded me that I have been meaning to look for better broadband deals for ages. We also have a TV package which could also probably be on a better deal. I've put a wee note in my diary to have a look when I've got annual leave in 2 weeks time.
Spends for yesterday were £2.40 on some cereal for OH and bread for me. Will do a meal plan after work today and then go shopping after work tomorrow. Shouldn't need all that much this week as we are away next weekend to visit my brother.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Meal plan completed and £24.37 spent on food plus £13.00 on cleaning supplies and £7.70 on toiletries. I've also spent £53.18 on petrol, must remember to submit my mileage claim for work tomorrow.
I've added £6.29 to the holiday fund through cashback on my ch@se account and there is some money to cash out from PA, need to check and see if it is available to cash out.
Not much else to report - just counting down the days to a week's annual leave, only 2 more work days to go.
