Another view of the installation. Today's generation here. Panel level generation breakout here.

Generated 3.71 kWh today. What's interesting is that the right side panels don't appear to be generating as much as the left, despite having Solar Edge Optimizers and no significant shading. Any thoughts on the cause? How is the system doing for SE London?

    Please weigh in!

The pvgis website will allow you to put in precise orientation and angle and see what the theoretical generation should be by month.

There is also a website, can't remember the name pvoutput? where lots of PV ers upload their output where you should be able to find a local comparator.
    I think....

Yes, the panel level breakup was taken just after 12pm today. The image of the installation above was taken at the same time, so you can see some shade.

Total generation was 3.7+ kW, taken this evening. How did the system do?

We are nw London with 0.5kw just e of s and 3.5 just s of w and generated 5.12kwh yesterday but the morning started wet and dull but brightened up about 11 so ideal for our orientation.

Quick update < 3 weeks after installation:

My Bulb electricity bill for the month of December was £39. Said another way, this is roughly half the amount for a 3 bed semi detached house undergoing renovation than we paid in our 1 bedroom London flat for the same month, also on Bulb.

As the house is being renovated, it has builders in from 8am to 5pm, 6 days a week. They use all the lighting as well as power tools but no gas.

I have applied to Bulb for their FIT program and await a response.

Well good luck on the FIT program, it ended ages ago. But perhaps they will give you details of their solar export guarantee, or SEG, which is as close to a replacement as exists.
    8kW (4kW WNW, 4kW SSE) 6kW inverter. 6.5kWh battery.

This isn't really a helpful response. I thought it was quite obvious that he's intending to sell leccy using Bulb's export tariff.
    Install 28th Nov 15, 3.3kW, (11x300LG), SolarEdge, SW. W Yorks.
    Install 2: Sept 19, 600W SSE

Quick update on generation. Hit 5.94 kWh yesterday, which is the new peak daily production. Today was a much more modest 254 wH.

  • Hi, I'm really interested in your panels. Whats the average of watt hrs are you generating in a typical day?

Thanks for keeping the thread updated,it's really useful.

My pleasure! I'm trying to find a comparable conventional panel system that has outperformed this one (while I could still claim my money back), and haven't been able to in South East London yet. I have another post asking which SEG offer to sign up for, so welcome any input you may have there.

Solar Edge grabs attached. Power peak is around 12-12:30pm.

Wanted to share that today the system, by far, generated the most power since installation around 5 weeks ago. Would welcome any thoughts about generated amount and the spread across the day compared to more conventional systems.
