I have an appt with the CAB this week and was wondering if anyone can offer any pro's and cons on DMP's. Earlier on I read a some threads about companies still harrassing for payment. I thought this would stop once a DMP was entered into? Bigdi

Hello!
Im in a DMP and have been for a couple of months. I have found it much easier and my stress levels have decreased sufficiently! Companies will still chase you for a little while (although I have to say a couple of my creditors just sent letters saying that they accepted they payments offered by CCCS and they will review the situation at a future date). One has been a bit of a pest and I'm still dealing with them, but one is far better than four! And I am assured by CCCS that they will quieten down soon, apparantly they always make a bit of a fuss a first.
If this is what has been recommended to you as the best course of action for your situation then, speaking from personal experience, I would go for it. Its made my life a hell of a lot easier! Apart from now having a bad credit rating I cant think of any 'cons', although I would have ended up with a bad credit rating anyway as I could no longer afford to pay my bills, so for me it has only improved my situation.
Of course if you have not already done so you should talk it over with an expert, either at CAB or CCCS or Payplan.
Hope it goes OK!
