Instagram issues

So i can't seem to follow or like or do anything on Instagram on my laptop and it says the action was blocked but the app works fine.

Anyone else had this issue?

yeah lots of people having issues with this that I know. I use PC as partially sighted and it was constantly blocking me. Now I clear cache several times a day and if it happens log out and back in and that seems to fix it.

Thanks for passing that tip on as i have been having the same issues for days now,but logged out of PC and mobile and it seems ok now.

I've had this twice in the past week.


When I comment or like through a browser and the Android app I get a pop up error message to say I'm temporarily blocked. The error says that "sharing your account with a service that helps you get more likes or followers goes against the community guidelines". I certainly haven't done that, and my liking/tagging activity hasn't changed significantly recently, so I don't know why it's happened.


I hit the "Report a problem" button on the error message, and also reported it via the app (settings > help > report a problem) but I doubt that will action anything. I'm now blocked until the 27th.

I face it time to time, but only when I try to follow more than 30+ accounts in the small period of time. Maybe it's kinda prevention of cheating against frauds? "Blocking happens due to instagram's spam prevention feature" This is really frustrating particularly because it seems a feature of most Instagram competitions that you're required to tag people - you then see exactly the same competition running on Twitter and you just have to retweet, why make your Instagram followers tag when you know it causes issues....grrrr!

Sharing !!!!!! content, hatless speech, political speeches, etc are the main reasons for Instagram blocking, to protect Instagram from spaming
