Would you chase, or am I being annoying to chase? Or shall I wait?

    Wait.
Your mortgage application hasn’t even been in for 3 working days yet. Personally I tell my clients we should have an answer in 10 - 14 working days, depending on when the valuation takes place.

Usually it’s quicker than this, but clients get a nice surprise when I call them sooner than they were expecting with news of their offer.

Of course I keep them updated as things progress, but 3 days is nothing in mortgage application timescales.

There are likely to be a few twists and turns in the story yet.

If the broker says no news until the end of the week (which sounds early for MMBS) you should not expect any and are wasting everyone’s time by chasing.

Should any early news arrive you can be sure your broker will communicate it to you.
