Mr tru isn't sold on the animal boarding idea  I was talking about it yesterday and he's not convinced. BUT he has flu at the moment - not man-flu, but the actual proper version LOL - so I probably picked the wrong moment :rotfl:

I'm just finishing a cuppa then I'm going to try out making craft dough :T

  • Hope you dont mind me jumping on your band wagon Tru, but I have been giiving this some thought and.......

Well, I still have not found a money making use for my garage. Although we will probably start making home made wine again next year so it may be used to store that. Obviously making your own drink saves buying a bottle or going to the pub.

Garden yep deffo pays its way.

Front room, well it houses the lap top which is used for daily clicks and to source bargains. Also entertaining family and friends, so again saves money on going out.

Kitchen, dont know apart from home cooking, this needs more thought.

Spare bedroom is going to store charity shop bargains for re sale. Something I have been thinking about for a while.

Second spare bedroom Grand children sleep here when their parents go out, so saving them money on baby sitters!

Need more ideas, although there has been some terrific ones already posted.

  • I love this thread, I've been looking at my house in the same way now.

    Bedroom 1, lodger
Bedroom 2, ebay stuff & mending & repairs
    Bedroom 3, hubby & I sleep there
Very small study, PC for selling on ebay & amazon
Landing, bookshelves for books to sell on amazon
Lounge, I sit a knit the scarves I sell in there
Back Garden, I grow a few veg, but not many at the moment as the house was built on an old railway storage yard & there is more tarmac than soil. I do grow tomatoes, strawberries & herbs. Hubby is building me a raised bed next year & I'm hoping to keep chickens in the new year.
Front Garden, I park my car there & it lowers my insurance premium

You haven't mentioned how Mr Tru is paying his way...? Maybe send him out to the shed (it has electricity and water like you say) and use the space he currently takes up to board the animals :rotfl:

Balmaiden, how about renting out space in your garage to people with trailer tents? Or ordinary tents, come to think of it :D Mr tru mentioned this earlier, he's heard a couple of people moaning that they love camping but haven't really got room to store tents, especially the trailer type.

Bands need rehearsal space, perhaps you could rent the garage out by the hour? Bit noisy though :D
