Hi,
I saw a thread that was talking about how much everyone spends on their food shopping. I was inspired when I saw that people managed to feed 2 adults and 2 small children for a week on £40.
Does anyone know where that thread has gone - or anyone have any meal ideas that keep the costs down.
Oh for winning the lottery!!

Hi hun
Ive no idea where the original thread went but i manage to feed 2 adults (myslf for breakfast, luncha nd dinner and BF for dinner and snacks all week) , 1 x 3 year old (all three meals and snacks) , 1 jack russell (1 main feed a day) and 3 turtles (once a day) on £90 a month.
It all comes down to planning and just knowign what you can do with the ingredientrs you have instock. Helpful too that i have alot of stables in my house too like flours, bread, rice, pasta etc to help bulk out basic meals.
Hope you find your thread and i too am wishing on my lottery numbers coming up soon.Time to find me again0 -

we have the grocery challenge but we set our own budgets and try to keep to them and over them months try to lower them to something we can live comfortably on and save us money.
I personally have gone from a budget of somewhere between £400-£500 a month for 2 adults and 3 children and a few pets to normally about £330 a month sometimes less. you can see by my signature, others have this info in there signature too.
